Frequently Asked Questions.
Dress Code: Formal Garden Party
Why Mallorca?
Great question! When we began planning the wedding, we considered many places. Philly? Nah, too close. Philippines? Nah, too far. Spain? Yes!
Spain is somewhere we have always wanted to go. We visited in April 2024 and can't wait to be back. It has the things we wanted for our wedding - good food, good views, good people.
How will I get to and from the reception venue?
Please note the reception venue is in a remote location. Transportation shuttles will be provided from the church to the reception and back to Palma. If you are staying at another hotel or location, you can take a taxi to the church. Shuttles from Son Berga will leave at various times throughout the evening (more details to come).
May I bring a plus one?
Your personal invitation will be addressed to all of those who are invited! If you received a plus one, they will be listed on your invitation and on the RSVP page. Please account for your guests and their meal selections to ensure they are counted.
I RSVP'd yes, but something came up and I can no longer attend.
You will be missed! We understand that life happens. Please contact us ASAP to let us know.
May I bring my children to the wedding?
If your invitation includes your children, you are welcome to bring them. Our reception venue requires a nannying service for children under 12 for approximately $200 per nanny for the night. There will be designated kids area and a kids menu at the reception. Please contact Marielle as soon as possible to book spots for your children.
What is the weather like in May?
May is known as one of the best months to visit Mallorca. You can expect very pleasant temperatures during the day with a strong sun. The average maximum daytime temperature in Mallorca in May lies at 23.2°C (73.76°F). The average minimum temperature goes down to around 13.6°C (56.48°F) (often the minimum temperature is noted at night). We recommend a light cardigan or pashmina for the night time.
Will the ceremony and reception be outdoors or inside?
The ceremony will be held inside the church. The cocktail hour and reception will be held outside on cobble stone. There will be short walks to and from the bus pickup locations and at the venue. We recommend ladies wear flats, block heels, wedges, or bring an extra set of walking shoes. A sample of the steepest cobble stone that you will encounter during one of the walks is here. The cobblestone for the cocktail hour and reception will be more flat.
What is a "Formal Garden Party"?
The reception venue takes place at a Finca surrounded by citrus and olive farms, views of the Tramuntana mountains, and highlighted with a cocktail hour in the garden surrounded by blooming flowers and trees.
Ladies. Think mid to floor-length dresses in spring pastel or vibrant hues. Opt for luminous silks, floaty chiffons, and other soft textures. Or reach for joyful prints or bold colors to contrast the natural stone and rustic elements of the Finca. As a reminder, there will be short walks to the buses and at the venue over cobblestone. We recommend flats or block heels and avoiding high heels.
Gentlemen. Come dressed in your most dapper suit and tie. Go for light shades, such as beige, green, and periwinkle for the perfect spring season color palette. And don't shy away from accessorizing with pops of color and patterns in your ties, pocket squares, and socks. Linen or cotton suit blends and Barong Tagalogs are welcome.
